As of October 2022, Boris Johnson's Twitter account was the most followed of all Members of Parliament in the United Kingdom with over 4.7 million followers. Islington North MP Jeremy Corbyn ranked second, with 2.5 million Twitter followers, and current Labour Party leader Sir Keir Starmer had over 1.3 million followers on Twitter. Caroline Lucas of the Green Party was followed by around 600 thousand Twitter users. New prime minister Rishi Sunak had around 842 thousand followed on the platform on the day in which he assumed office, up from 600 thousand in August 2022.
